They are used by mixing with the K. converters (resins) of the Colortech tinting system to obtain finished enamels in the various pastel colors. The P-series multipurpose pastes have a high concentration of pigment which allows obtaining enamels with great hiding power. They are made from high-quality pigments and, when mixed with the right converter, allow for finishes with excellent lightfastness and weather resistance. They can be used with all K series converters of the Industry list, with some limitations on the resins K.854 and K.374 and the resins for metallics K.773 and K.772.
The P-series pastes are added to the K series resins pre-weighed according to the formulations of the chosen color and inserted in the Colortech. After adding the pastes to the converter, they must be dispersed immediately with a mechanical shaft stirrer (not gyroscope) if possible or, alternatively, limited to small quantities of finished product (1-2 liters) with strong manual stirring. In some cases, when using the K.533, K.531, K.511 and K.711 converters, it is more convenient, for the purpose of ensuring better dispersion of the pastes, to make a separate pre-mix of the pastes and only then add them to the resin, then proceed to final mixing. NOTE: The P-series pastes Especially P.995 and P.562 are used respectively in metallic colors, the first for Colored transparent, the second for opaque pastels. P.116 Lemon Yellow ECO matte paste is used in shades of yellow and orange when you want to obtain high coverage and great resistance to bad weather. P.250 Bright Orange Eco paste is used for particularly clean orange or red shades and in case high weathering resistance is required.
