Decorative enamel for furniture, fixtures, metalwork, etc.
Iron surfaces: Thoroughly remove all traces of rust, calamine, grease and moisture. Old paints with poor adhesion should be removed by sanding. Apply 1 or 2 coats of single-component primer (see our 490 or 494 series). After about 24 hours, apply the enamel finish by brush. Galvanized and aluminum surfaces: Degrease and scour with scotch brite and then apply a suitable primer such as our MONOFLEX 994, or 2K EPOXY PRIMER 190 or 193. Wood surfaces: On new wood, apply one or two coats of polyurethane primer or other suitable primer. After the primer dries, sand thoroughly with sandpaper and then apply one or two coats of finishing enamel.

After 24 hours minimum. For product obtained by industrial dyeing, repaint wet-on-wet or within 4 to 6 hours, or 1/2 weeks after the first coat. Use white spirit-based thinners or those low in aromatic solvents.
